Dehydrated Kiwi Chips

In most of the kiwi recipes, kiwifruit is the primary ingredient. In this recipe, the element is something similar. The best way to prepare the dehydrated kiwi chips is to use the fruit dehydrator. But don’t worry as you can use other means to prepare the chips as well. There are three main ways to dry kiwi slices or dehydrating kiwi slices: oven-dried, sun-dried, and fruit dehydrator. But before using these methods peel kiwi fruit well.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 Kiwi Fruits
  • Lemon Juice (optional)
  • 2 tbsp Powdered Ascorbic Acid

Instructions
 

Oven-dried kiwi fruits

  • Slice the kiwi fruit in ¼ inches slice discs.
  • Bake the kiwis in the oven cookie sheet at 150-170 degrees for about 3-4 hours.

Dehydrating Kiwi fruit using fruit dehydrator

  • In a small bowl, add 2 tbsp of powdered ascorbic acid in a cup of water.
  • Dip your fresh kiwi fruit into the mixture before the dehydration process.
  • Arrange it in a dehydrator tray.
  • Dehydrate using the instructions mentioned in the fruit dehydrator.

Sun-dried method to dehydrate kiwi

  • Slice the kiwi fruit in ¼ inches slice discs.
  • Please place it in direct sun until the fresh kiwis are entirely dehydrated.

Notes

Using a fruit dehydrator consumes more time than using an oven.
